All of these components of your personality were either passed onto you genetically or were taught to you as you grew up, mainly between the ages of 0 and about 7.

So as you can see, your really a composition of your genetic mother, father and the environment that you grew up in. Whilst you might not like the idea, the reality is you're a creation of inputs rather than something you've created yourself....

Just take a few minutes to think about that. It means your living the life that someone else has programmed for you. I'm sure that their intentions were nothing but the best, but at the end of the day, wherever you are now in life is a result of the way you were programmed!

Is that how you want to live your life?

The really good news is that you can change your programming. Unlike your physical makeup (height, eye colour, etc), your mental program CAN be changed. And its not that hard, once you know how (remember the supermarket story).

Let me give you an example of what I mean...

I was talking with one of my clients last week. We were trying to identify some limiting beliefs that were holding her back from being really financially successful. It eventually came out that she believed that you could not be spiritual and rich at the same time, you could only be one or the other!

She wanted to be spiritual more than she wanted to be rich, and that's what was happening in her life. I asked her what evidence, examples or proof that she had to support her belief. There was nothing that she could think of, it was just a feeling or belief that she thought to be true. Then I asked her,

"If you have no real evidence or proof, then how can this be true?"

After much thought she agreed that there was nothing to support her belief and it might actually be possible to be rich and spiritual at the same time!

Her whole attitude towards being financially successful changed, almost instantly. It was like the weight of the world had been lifted from her shoulders. I'm sure you can remember that kind of feeling.

If you haven't achieved those things in life that you want, then there is a high change that you hold a belief that is limiting your success. Some of these beliefs can be about your own ability to achieve your desires. In my experience, even these beliefs are completely unfounded and based on some level of pre-programming.

Before we move on, lets do a quick summary..

* Who you are is pre-programmed into your subconscious by your genetic and environmental makeup.

* The pre-programming is of a set of rules or beliefs that guide you through your life.

* You had almost no input into the programming, and, as such you are living a life that someone else has determined for you.

Before I explain this approach, you should know that it requires some hard work, determination and patience on your part. There is, however, a much easier, significantly more effective and far quicker way, but I can't give you that for free. Well talk about that in a few moments...

We now know that we need to change the pre-programming, or rules and beliefs, in our subconscious to make effective and long lasting change in our lives. Affirmations, visualization and meditation have been used for very long time. The reality is that any one of these approaches is capable of changing your pre-programming. The continual repeating of a new belief will either replace or adjust an existing belief. That's how these approaches work.

This is what I did...

I decided what I wanted to achieve and then wrote it out very precisely. Then every day I would recite it to myself for 15 minutes. As I was reciting it to myself I would visualize exactly what it felt like to have achieved my desire. I used all my senses, sight, sound, smell, taste and touch to make my visualization effective. Then, when the 15 minutes was up (I used an alarm) I would do 15 minutes of meditation. I did this twice per day, every day. Once in the morning and once in the evening without fail for about 15 months.

I took about a year before the results start flowing through, and let me tell you it felt just awesome to see what I desired to start to flow into my life. In fact, I was able to leave my full time job and start my own business. All because I followed that simple formula. There is nothing else for you to know, just patience, persistence and make sure you do it every day without fail.

Over time you will start to feel better and things should start to change for you within 12 to 18 months. IT REALLY WORKS!

Even though that method worked for me so well, I figured that there had to be an easier way. Something that work much faster, after all its really only changing my mind about a few simple rules. How hard can that be?

I tried many different approaches. My rule was simple, "If I didn't see or feel any change within a month, drop it and move onto something else!"

Eventually I found subliminal messaging. WOW - that really worked and worked fast. 10 minutes twice per day, and BANG within a month I had taken a quantum leap forward. Everything was accelerated.
